My name is Hamid Bin Mukhtar. This is my first website. My initial goal is to learn website designing by doing.
                                    Here is my introduction:
I graduated from Nishtar Medical College, Multan, Pakistan in 1985. After doing my internship for a year in Nishtar Hospital, Multan, I went to England at the end of 1986 and did my training in Cardiovascular Medicine at East Birmingham Hospital, Birmingham (Now called Birmingham Heartlands Hospital). During my stay at East Birmingham Hospital (1987-1993), I did my PLAB (1987), MRCP (UK - 1990) from Royal College of Physicians, London and PhD in Cardiovascular Medicine (University of Birmingham, 1993). During this period I worked initially as a senior House Officer in Cardiology and then as registrar in Cardiology. I briefly worked at Grimsby in 1993 and then moved to Bristol Royal Infirmary as a locum Senior Registrar in Cardiology in 1993. In 1994, I worked as a Locum Consultant cardiologist at South Meade Hospital, Bristol and in the same year, moved to Qatif Central Hospital, Saudi Arabia as a Consultant Cardiologist. After serving 5 years as a consultant cardiologist I moved to Armed Forces Hospital, Dhahran in 1999 as the department head in Cardiology. At the end of 2000, I moved to USA and had to start over in a medical residency program starting January 2001. At the same time I got FRCP from Royal College of Physicians Edinberg. After finishing my residency in Jan 2004, I briefly worked in hematology for 6 months and then moved to a Hospitalist position at Geisinger Medical Center in July 2004. I have been working there since 2004.
